Our Work

Our purpose is to provide indigenous people with education, clean water, health care, and job training within each of the communities we serve. Our goal is to respond to the needs of indigenous people .... giving opportunities for a better life.

Our Advantages

1. Build.  Educate.  Empower.
We focus on the developing the whole person, not just meeting their immediate needs through relief work.

2. By Faith.  With Compassion.  We Serve.
With the love of God and strengthened by our faith, we are committed to helping the people of Indonesia over the long term

What We Do

We focus on the following:

  • Provision of clean water supplies
  • Establish a clinic to care of the ill, dispense medication and train indigenous people in wellness
  • Build orphanages
  • Build elementary, secondary, trade and teacher training schools since Indonesia does not have a free public education system
  • Train and encourage students and families to make their villages sustainable and self-sufficient

did you know?

All of our expatriate workers and teachers raise their own financial support.  We do our best to support as many indigenous workers as possible.  We appreciate your financial support and your prayers.

PIANO RECITAL

Thank you to Nicholas Nolan.  Nicholas performed a wonderful piano recital at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church recently.  The event was well attended and Nicholas was great.  A generous offering of $975.00 was presented to Mustard Seed Mission after the concert.  Also, thank you to St. Andrews Ajax, for hosting this event.

"WALLY'S STORY"

A unique fund-raiser was held at Melville Presbyterian church when Wallace Whyte suggested a freewill offering for Mustard Seed at a book signing of his new book, Wally’s Story.  Thank you Wally and Melville Church in Scarborough.  Over $900 was raised.
These gifts of time and talent are immediately puo use training teachers and sponsoring new students.

About mustard seed canada

Mustard Seed Canada is a non-profit Christian organization that supports the education of children and training of teachers in Indonesia.  Some of the ways we do this are:

  • build and run schools for children
  • provide quality training for teachers
  • enable children in remote areas to have an education
  • dig fresh water wells and provide other necessities for the children and teachers

canadian sister school helps

North American schools “sister-up” with Mustard Seed schools in Indonesia pledging to correspond as pen pals and raise funds.  Every class in a Richmond Hill school raised funds hoping to provide a jungle village with a fresh water well.  When the mountain of coins was counted up their goal had doubled.  One school changed the lives of two villages, drastically reducing the mortality through the provision of fresh water.
