STEPPING UP AS LEADERS

Each new school year, Mustard Seed’s flagship school holds student elections for leadership positions, and this year, as usual, over 70% of our high school students ran for leadership positions. It has been such a joy for me to take a little extra time to teach our high school students. In the past, I had been focusing all of my energy on developing our staff, training teachers, leading our teams, and starting new ministries. But this return to the classroom for several hours a day has given me a close-up view of the fruit of Mustard Seed’s ministries in Indonesia. Our students are thriving. They love God. They are eager to rise into the future. They demonstrate excellent decision making skills and higher level thinking skills. They are equipped and prepared to impact their world. For most of them, their English is virtually fluent.

Living your faith on the edge
a certain risk

touching lives

A successful businessman decided to send his first son to a Mustard Seed school, and then his second, and his third, and then his fourth son as well.  Each son came to faith in Christ as a result of the school’s influence.  Seeing the change in his boys, the man began a friendship with the teachers and began questioning and discussing the truths of the Bible.

Now he eagerly reads his Bible every day and expresses gratitude for the friendships he has made. Out of this gratitude he wants to help the school become a blessing for even more families.

garage sale success!

Great garage sale success... at the end of the day all the barter and bargaining resulted in topping up the scholarship fund by $1,680.  More than enough to send four children to school.  Congratulations to the garage sale team.  You've made a huge difference in four young lives.
